Here's something a friend told me about. There are some folks who think you can get some hidden insights into a person if you take a picture of someone's face, and then replace one side of the face with a mirror image of the other side. These people say that, for example, you can see the meglomania in Hitler by applying this technique.
At a less pathological level, they say that different aspects of our personalities are reflected in one side of the face or the other. By applying this face mirroring technique, we may gain some insight into those (potentially hidden) aspects of our personalities
I don't know how valid any of this is, but I tried it on myself. Here's a not-so-great picture of me.
Now, here's the same picture, with one side of the face mirrored over the other face. On the left, the left side of my face has been mirrored so that all you see is the left side of my face. On the right is the right side of my face only, using the same mirroring technique.
